Hi, I’m Jenessa Mayer, PA-C, IFMCP

Glad to meet you!

I am a functional medicine practitioner who believes in getting to the root of health, savoring fresh farm air, and enjoying tomatoes straight from the vine.

(And yes, my passion for whole-person care is contagious.)

My mission is to help you finally feel like yourself again.

Have you ever been told “everything looks normal,” even though you feel anything but?

If you’ve been living with unexplained symptoms, managing multiple medications, or bouncing between specialists with no real answers—you know how exhausting that can be.

I’ve seen it firsthand, both personally and professionally.

As a former critical care provider, I watched too many patients reach a breaking point before getting the help they needed. That’s what led me to functional medicine—to shift the focus from reacting to illness to truly preventing it.

Now, I help people like you figure out what’s really going on, and support you every step of the way—with education, compassion, and a care plan that’s as unique as you are.

Because healing shouldn’t feel like a mystery. And you shouldn’t have to do it alone.

Where Deep Roots Meets New Growth

My background includes over 8 years in clinical practice and a blend of both conventional and functional medicine training. I hold a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (2017) and a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences (2016) from Marquette University.

I’m a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine (2024), and I’m currently completing my Master of Public Health, with a focus on food systems and preventive care (anticipated May 2025).

But beyond the degrees and certifications, I bring curiosity, compassion, and a deep belief that your body is wise—and that healing is possible when we give it the time, support, and space it needs.

And this is just the beginning.

As Cultivate Health grows, my dream is to bring people back to the land—hosting wellness retreats, community dinners, and healing experiences on my family farm in Wisconsin.

Because I believe that when we reconnect with our bodies, our food, and our environment, we open the door to true health.
